My guest, Fola Veritas is a lot of things. She is such an amazing human having a spiritual experience. She uses her training in healthcare to work with people experiencing mental health crisis and combines the holistic to truly give them transformational expe over 11 years, Fola has dedicated herself to promoting wellness through the integration of both traditional spiritual healing methods and modern knowledge. Having personal experience with depression and anxiety as well as going through a personal spiritual emergence in 2015, she began to shift her approach to wellness. Merging this experience with her knowledge of psychiatric nursing, she embraces her role as a modern Occultist and Medicine Woman, instilling a sense of hope in each person through the power of various spiritual and healing modalities with a touch of intuitive guidance. Her hope is to continue to remind others of the bridge between Spirituality and Mental health, while creating a sense of connection and belonging for those she supports.
Her personal life experience also includes having been born in Canada as a woman of color, which provides her with a unique perspective on the importance of race and the challenges many Black, Indigenous and People of Color experience. She feels a large piece of healing the wounds of BIPOC individuals is connected to ancestral (inter-generational) trauma, which the shamanic path promotes transformation in.
