As we stand at the threshold of a new year, there issomething profoundly symbolic about this moment. The calendar turns. A season ends. Another begins.
But Scripture reminds us that life is not governed merely bydates and months. It is governed by seasons appointed by God.
The writer of Ecclesiastes tells us:
“To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven.”
We are not simply entering a new year. We are stepping into a new season. And the question we must ask is not only, “What year is it?”But rather, “What season am I in—and what is God requiring of me now?”
