If you are a business owner providing your products or services in your locality then there is a great opportunity that maybe you are missing out to get more customers. This opportunity is your presence on search engines like Google. You must bring your business on Google by using Local SEO so that you can get more customers or clients for your business in your area of operation. People are using Google to search for local businesses. In the U.S alone there are 5 billion monthly searches of restaurants and around 4 billion monthly searches for the hotel. So if your business is not on Google then believe me you are losing a lot of customers in your locality. There are a few things that you can do to bring your business on search engine and rank on Google using local SEO. First of all you have to register your business on Google My Business (GMB). Complete your profile. Select the area of operations. Fill citation information. It includes Name, Address and Phone number also called NAP information. It is the most important information in local SEO. Then make your website and give your citation there also. Keep it consistent everywhere. Fill exactly the same citation on your website as you have given in GMB. You can use Structured Google Schema Markup to optimize your website for all the necessary information like NAP. The next important thing that you need to do is making your social media profiles. Make accounts on Facebook and Instagram. Update them with all the information about your business and the same citation as you have given in GMB and on your website. The last thing is keeping these profiles and GMB account updated with all recent updates about your business and the new offers. All these steps will definitely help you to bring more customers to you by increasing your reach in social media platforms and search engines. Listen to my podcast on the same topic.
