Description

What we experience in childhood can affect us for the rest of our lives.  If that experience includes trauma, the effects can not only be damaging but also long lasting.  On this week's show, I invite my good friend, Dr. David Pfaff back on the show. David works daily with patients that have to fight every day to overcome the effects of childhood trauma.  From his own words, most of the people that meet him for therapy are victims of some kind of childhood trauma.

While speaking, Dr. Pfaff also introduces the audience to the ACE test which allows a person to score their possibility of childhood trauma.  This test is a great way to start the difficult conversation of a possible history of childhood trauma.

We all know this is a tough subject and many people don't want to blame their parents for anything that could be wrong in their present life.  However, as David puts it - this is not about blaming anyone, this is about taking responsibility and doing everything we can to better ourselves.
