John Rasic is probably among just a handful of people who have dug so many deep pits, in so many places around the world. His soil studies and insights are not only valuable to the many agricultural projects he has consulted on globally, but also to a layman like me who seeks deeper understanding. I highly recommend John's Youtube channel which is very informative, eye-opening, and entertaining.
