On this episode, Zach Dugger interviews Dr. Tom Martin, a retired primary care physician about his start in medicine and reflections on being a practicing physician. From starting in private practice to being employed in urgent care, Dr. Martin has found a definition of success. Dr. Martin was born, raised and educated in Nebraska except for three years of Bible College in Colorado. After graduating from medical school, he spent almost 20 years in a rural Nebraska medical practice and then 20 years in Lincoln, Nebraska in urgent care medicine.His wife and he actively follow the school and sports activities of their three grandchildren, are active in their local church as well as volunteering with non-profit organizations helping to minister to needs both locally and internationally. 

*Note: We did not get to the topic of Dr. Martin's post-retirement activity, which is of current importance! Dr. Martin continues to remain active in the medical field through part time work from home role wherein he completes medical reviews for Social Security Disability applications.
