On one hand conspiracy thinking is an essential tool, it helps to be critical about information that you get … but then you have to be critical about all the information.
On the other hand conspiracy thinking makes generalisation and groupings of people into “the others” or “Them” even more common, and dangerous, creating an "us and them" when really we absolutely cannot generalise about any groups of people.
