In this episode Michelle and Nadya talk to Miyo Strong, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Purple Belt from Unified Jiu Jitsu. Not only is Miyo a certified badass and professional athlete, she is also an incredible photographer, mother, and human being. Miyo found jiu jitsu almost twenty years ago as a means to regain her autonomy and confidence after years of domestic abuse. She most recently won bronze at the Pan American BJJ Championships on March 22nd in the Open Division. Miyo has also been one of our first followers and supporters and we are incredibly lucky to have someone like her in our corner.
