1 Corinthians 15:33 (AMP)
Do not be deceived: Bad company ruins good morals.
I cannot tell you how many times I have seen people with so much potential waste it all away because they tagged themselves to bad company. It is a sad thing to see. People get messed-up when they get involved with a messed-up person.
If you’ve had or have friends with whom you’re not experiencing any meaningful spiritual progress, or whose friendship hinders your effectiveness in the Gospel, it’s high time you gave up such friendships. Don’t negotiate; just end it, so your Christian life becomes exactly what God said it should be.
One precious woman, some years back, came to me asking for a blessing to perform catchy praise songs in nightclubs and pubs as a form of evangelism. I told her expressly not to do it as God had shown me the same lady falling by the wayside as a result. She didn’t listen, and of course, as sure as I had seen it, she became a secular music singer complete with an abominable lifestyle and skimpy outfits befitting nightclubs. What happened? Bad company! You have those ‘baddies’ in your phone right now- start deleting!
Do not be deceived. Bad people make you bad too, stay away from them.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I am cultured in the godly life and way of doing things. Bad company is not my portion, so I remove it from my life now, in the Name of Jesus! Amen.
