1 Thessalonians 5:11 (KJV)
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
Some people take church seriously only because they’re looking for someone to help them. They see it as a networking hub that’ll link them up with what they need to get ahead in life. Some are there solely to be helped, period. Just imagine if every Christian took today’s verse literally, actively developing a desire to help others rather than wanting to be helped. The Body of Christ would be so much stronger!
If you’ve ever felt ignored, rejected, or uncared for, consider that others may be feeling the same. So, take the responsibility to look out for those in similar situations. Encourage and strengthen them. Don't live for yourself alone. In this Year of Strange Oil, be responsible for others. Build someone up with an encouraging text message, call, or visit today. This is practical Christianity.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I arise as a pillar of support to build someone up today. By God's grace at work in me, anyone I encounter today shall be encouraged, strengthened and energized in Jesus’ Name!
