DEEPER MARRIAGE

Genesis 2:18 (KJV)

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Now that we know the Lord is coming very soon, marriage is on many Christian's minds. Those who are already married are starting to realise that they need to make the best of it with what time is remaining. Many of those who are single are sensing an urgency to get married before the rapture takes place.

The Bible tells us that Adam became alone. It does not say he became lonely. There is a difference between being lonely and being alone. You can be lonely whilst you are among people, but you can only be alone at something. When Adam married Eve, it was because he needed a suitable helper to help him carry out his Kingdom assignment.

It is paramount that we all understand the purpose of marriage so that in the short time we have remaining on Earth, we can maximize our marriages. Marriage is for ministry. It is not about procreation. It is not about looks, complexion, or financial status, though these things are of consideration. Ministry is the priority and you can do more for God and the Kingdom together than you can when unmarried, then the most important criterion has been met. Do not get distracted by the world's ideals about marriage. Instead, focus on your Kingdom assignment, and you will enjoy Heaven on Earth in your marriage.
