1 John 4:7-8 (KJV)
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
Love in this modern age has been watered down to such an extent that most people don't know what true love is. Understand that expressing love to others is not about what you stand to gain. It's about your love for God and your desire to do His will. So, even when it isn't convenient, or when someone is 'unlovable,' you have to walk in love. If those you love hate you back, continue to love them anyway.
The proof that you love God is walking in love. Today's scripture says if you don't practice love, then you simply don't know God. You cannot call yourself a Christian. Even if you're the most revered person in your church, if you cannot love people no matter who they are, you're not of God because God is love. Look around you this festive season. Help those around you. Make someone’s life better. This is what you were called to do. Make that call, buy groceries and send them. Find opportunities to express God’s love today.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I am a channel of God’s love. What a joy it is to demonstrate His love. Many shall come to know Him through me, in Jesus’ Name!
