Mark 8:36-37 (KJV)
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
The words of our Lord Jesus in today's verse are so powerful. It's so critical to understand that this world will surely be destroyed and replaced with another. How then can one be content with losing their very soul over something that is temporary? Eternal life with our Father is a permanent thing worth giving your life for.
How is it that in this last dispensation, with all the exposure and access we have to the Word of God, more and more Christians are exchanging their relationship with God for a relationship with sin? Take heed of our opening scripture today. Make a decision to not have one foot in church and the other in the world. You cannot be in these two places at once.
Live your life solely for the Lord with no compromise. Let your passion be all about the Gospel of Christ and spreading it around the world. Your soul is in jeopardy, and the distractions many. Some will be very cunningly devised: they will not look like you’re losing your soul. Beware! Nothing in this world is worth it – live for God and God alone!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
From today, I recommit my life to living for God. My entire being is sold out to Him fully in Jesus’ Name! Amen.
