Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
Whilst the quote' pride comes before the fall' is equally popular in Christendom and secular communities alike, referenced throughout literary texts, speeches and other mediums of pop culture, its origin and meaning are based entirely on biblical principles! The Bible tells us that if you want to actualise God's blessings in your life, you must ensure you are not prideful!
Many people today are consumed by pride due to their lack of knowledge of what it actually means to be prideful. When you have pride, you have an excessive belief in your own abilities without recognising the grace of God functioning in your life! The verse above shows us that in contrast to God resisting the proud, he gives grace to the humble. As we embark on a new year, the biggest chain to break is the chain of pride. Don’t let it hinder your testimonies this year. Clothe yourself in humility and see the full manifestation of your year as a chain breaker!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
In this new year, humility shall help me rise! I WILL NEVER LET PRIDE CONSUME ME! Every chain formed to hinder my 2025 is BROKEN in Jesus' Name!
