John 16:23 (NIV)
In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
Jesus gave us the power of attorney to use His Name, which means when we pray, we’re standing in His stead and making requests to our father. Notice how he says you ask THE FATHER, in MY NAME and HE (The Father) is the one who does the giving – not me, but HE! Do you see that?
As a Christian in this dispensation, you are to live in the Name of Jesus; function in His place, with His authority, and in His character. This is the greatest treasure prophets and patriarchs of old only saw glimpses of in the realm of the spirit. Take advantage of this Name New Testament Christian!
Colossians 3:17 says, “…whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks….” When you pray, it carries the same power and authority as though Jesus Himself were the one praying. It’s a legal thing; He gave us the power of attorney to use His Name and live in His Name.
It doesn’t matter what challenges you might be facing; if you use the Name of Jesus, victory is assured hallelujah!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I possess a great treasure, the power to use the Name of Jesus! As I start my day, I shall do so with the full understanding of who’s name I am using to succeed hallelujah!
