Description

* Horror constructs!

* Can be used when a full-blown Horror isn’t appropriate to add flavor and mood to an adventure or location.

* Black Mantis

* Big, fast, nasty insect monster: Upper Journeyman challenge.

* Has a little bit of a xenomorph vibe.

* Bone Shambler

* Undead construct, big ball of bones and spikes.

* Slightly less tough than the black mantis but is still a fierce opponent.

* Can overrun its opponents causing extra damage and knockdown.

* Cadaver Man

* Zombies… with an Earthdawn twist. High-Novice tier challenge.

* Still retain some semblance of their personality.

* FRENZY

* Falsemen

* Created by Therans as automatons

* Strawmen and waxmen are low-powered, mindless cannon fodder in Parlainth’s War Games.

* Stonemen and Steelmen are tougher, officers and commanders.

* They often have a basic personality.

* Ghouls

* Flesh-eating undead construct, feral pack animals. Mid-Novice tier challenge.

* Damaging venom that goes inert if the ghoul is killed.

* More powerful “leader” is presented in the GM Guide.

* Sidebar about the “Cadaverous” mask to turn any creature into an undead/cadaver version.

* Jehuthra

* Giant spider-like construct created from a Namegiver. Low-Journeyman tier challenge.

* Magical abilities: Frost Web binds a target.

* Iron Web creates maze that divides a group of targets that the jehuthra will hunt down.

* Cunning but not intelligent.

* Plagues

* Tall, gaunt humanoid that spreads disease.

* Not physically imposing as an opponent, but it has illusion abilities that allow it to infiltrate or operate unnoticed while it spreads its disease.

* Disease is slow-acting and contagious, could cause lots of problems even after being defeated.

* Qural’lotectica

* Amorphous blob of a body with hooked tentacles and drinks blood.

* Ambush predator, moves slowly but has a paralytic venom.

* Resembles barnacles from Half Life.

* Spectral Dancer

* Created from highly charming and charismatic individuals, cursed to have no ability to interact with the physical world.

* Best way to deal with them is to soothe their torment by connecting with them, a social challenge.

* Stormwraith

* Horror corrupted air elemental

* Aggressive, vicious, electrical attacks.

* Difficult to damage with physical attacks.

* Notable hazard for airships and air mining operations.

* Cadaverous and corrupted masks to make Horrorspawn from other creatures.
