A convidada desta semana do Projeto AlFa é Patrícia Rodrigues. Quando tinha apenas 14 anos fez a sua estreia pela Seleção Nacional e era considerada por todos como a "menina prodígio do andebol português". Tudo lhe estava a correr bem, mas foi posta à prova por várias vezes. Aos 17 anos assinou o seu primeiro contrato profissional e preparava-se para ir para a Alemanha quando lhe foi diagnosticada uma Artrite Reativa, doença que a forçou a ser internada na UCI e que a deixou completamente imobilizada e dependente, até para comer. Foi-lhe dito por duas ocasiões diferentes que não poderia voltar a jogar andebol novamente. Na conversa desta semana Patrícia fala-nos, ainda, da dificuldade que é ser-se portuguesa lá fora, de como ultrapassou duas lesões graves, do quanto o trabalho psicológico foi importante para si e como o apoio da família é o centro da sua vida. Tudo isto e muito mais porque existe sempre o outro lado da história.

This week's guest from Projeto Alfa is Patrícia Rodrigues. When she was just 14 years old, she made her debut for the National Team and was considered by all to be the "prodigy girl of Portuguese handball". Everything was going well for her, but she was put to the test several times. At the age of 17, she signed her first professional contract and was preparing to go to Germany when she was diagnosed with Reactive Arthritis, an illness that forced her to be admitted to the ICU and left her completely immobilized and dependent, even to eat. She was told on two separate occasions that she could not play handball again. In this week's conversation Patrícia also talks about the difficulty of being Portuguese abroad, how she overcame two serious injuries, how important psychological work was for her and how family support is the center of her life . All this and much more because there is always the other side of history.
