Once a year we have a special service of lessons (readings of Scripture) and carols (festive songs of the season). As liturgical folks, we tend not to celebrate Christmas before Christmas day, opting instead to read Scripture and sing songs that point us to the coming of the Lord, both in the past and the future. Fr. Alex is preaching this week.
