I discuss some common confusions between lay naturopaths and Naturopathic Doctors, what our perspective on health is, and how we determine the best course of action for a treatment plan based on the Determinants of Health and what we call the Therapeutic Order. I explain different therapies within each of the levels of the Therapeutic Order with examples of how and why we would choose them. I also discuss that Doctor is Docere in Latin, which means "to teach". Naturopathic Doctors educate so the people coming to see us can understand and become empowered in their health care.
