Marcie interviewed her father, James Squires Parkinson, for his 90th birthday on March 13, 2021. Since it was Memorial Day this past week and Father’s Day is coming up, we decided to honor him by passing on part of his story.
Jim had a stroke a few years ago that makes it a challenge for him to speak but he opens up and shares about being drafted and serving in the Marines, surviving an emergency landing, falling in love TWICE, switching careers, saving lives, raising a family and realizing he had the power to “Make it a great day!” He is truly an example of what is possible and has been living the life of his Dreams!
