This episode of the Current Plays Podcast sees our child-at-heart hosts Jordan and Thomas discuss Fort published by Leder Games and designed by Grant Rodiek.
After introducing the title of the Current Play, Thomas quickly interrupts to talk about Leder Games as a powerhouse publisher with a spotlight on Oath: Chronicles of Empire and Exile. Moving into what we played this week Thomas brings up Cargo Noir before both hosts tangent into Breakout Con 2022. With Breakout Con on our minds, we move into discussing out-of-print games, the second-hand market, and math trades. This segues into a chat about Shadows over Camelot an older game by Days of Wonder. At this point both hosts are happy to discuss their upcoming Warhammer 40K day, a send-off to 9th Edition as they prepare for 10th. Thomas laments about his immense pile of shame amongst the numerous miniature games he has models for. However, with all the news coming for 10th Edition it's hard to not want more. To round off the Other Plays segment Thomas brings up the 2023 Chess World Championship, congratulations Ding Liren.
For our Current Play, we discuss the playful title; Fort.
