Commander Brown, an Air Force veteran, began handling hazard in 1995 by designing policies, techniques, and logistics to rid his Detroit neighborhood of violent crime. His initiative focuses on preventing conflict and improving the quality of living for communities and businesses by using non-violent tactics to build non-adversarial relationships that lead to non-violent outcomes.
They now offer quick response services to nearly 5,000 residential and 100 commercial clients in Detroit 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In the neighborhoods where he works, his initiative has culminated in a 90 percent reduction in violent crime.
