The number of Christians in the United States that are engaging with scripture is on a steady decline. According to The Barna Group "Bible Centered" adults have decreased from 9 percent to 5 percent in the past year. Another alarming trend is that more than one-third of adults (35%) report never using the Bible in 2019, a 10 percentage point increase since 2011.
