Connor Pensack is a miracle baby...born even after his mother had tubal ligation (aka got her tubes tied). So from the start, he was special, defying the odds. That strength is helping him as he undergoes treatment for pediatric ulcerative colitis.
This week, my guest, who is my cousin and mother of Connor, Danielle Pensack, shares her gratitude for all of the medical professionals, especially those at CHOP (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia), for the care they've given to Connor. She explains why she began the Connor Pensack Foundation to raise money for research at CHOP and to raise awareness and education about children who experience IBD. She talks about the health journey Connor has been through and how that has impacted her and her whole family. She is happy to be as honest as possible in the regular blog articles that she writes to let other parents know they are not alone. Some have already expressed gratitude for how transparent Danielle is being.
You can learn more about the Connor Pensack Foundation here. And if you are in northeastern PA, you can support by donating a basket to the raffle and/or attending the Foundation's first fundraiser on July 15 at Pine Hills Country Club on Keyser Avenue in Taylor, PA. Be sure to follow the Connor Pensack Foundation on Facebook and Instagram for updates and future events.
