Description

"Hello social media user. I don't have the education or professional work experience in nutrition but I'm gonna tell you what to eat and what not to eat and you're gonna eat up every word and then lick the spoon-- because I have a million followers and I'm 'hot.'

Umm...stop! Please stop!

It's time to become more discriminating about the information you digest, because misinformation can be as harmful for you as the wrong foods, supplements or medicine.

This week my guests are registered dietitians Micki Orlowsky and Emily Fasciana who are serving up the truth, aka real facts, as in evidence-based information, about nutrtion. We're talking about diet drugs, TikTok trends, supplements and much more. But let's face it, our hunger for nutritional information can't be satiated in a one-hour conversation, so be sure to follow Emily and Micki's podcast The RD Squeeze on Spotify for the truth on other nutrition-related topics.

Check out Emily on Instagram at erfnutrition and Micki at mickiorlowsky or professormicki.rd.

And you can see Micki and I perform stand-up comedy at Galentine's in the Gallery on Feb. 6 at the Everhart Museum. Click for info. and tix here.
