As National Humor Month continues, so do the conversations with funny women I've met throughout the past several years. This week I have the pleasure of introducing you to the smart, funny and kind Roya Hamadani. I've enjoyed her comedy ever since she did a 5-minute spot at one of my ladies' comedy nights a handful of years ago at Mountain View Vineyard in the Poconos.
Roya talks about how she uses humor to address the topic of her ethnicity and how people view her and how she has addressed sexism and other "isms" running an open mic for a number of years in the Lehigh Valley. She is the founder of Lehigh Valley Stand-up Women, a creative producer and performer of comedy shows and an all-around class act.
