Description

Healing cannot happen in a vacuum. As Barbra Streisand sings: People, People who need People, Are the luckiest people in the world. And that's all of us. We all need connection to other humans...to help us heal, to feel whole. That is true whether or not a person is living with a mental health diagnosis.

This week, my guest is Marie Onukiavage, Executive Director of NAMI Northeast Region PA. We talk about everything from our favorite birds to the healing and connecting power of humor to what to say (and not say) to someone who is struggling. We also talk about the details for our exciting collaboration --my business Laugh to Live working with NAMI Northeast Region PA-- to bring nationally-awarded and recognized comedian, public speaker and mental health advocate Gab Bonesso here to NEPA on May 4th and 5th to share her story of bipolar disorder with honesty and humor. Learn full details about events at NAMI's site.
