There are over 2800 public health departments in the country (city, county, district, metro). These people are responsible for protecting the public health. The New York City Health Department has over 6000 employees that includes epidemiologists, doctors, and scientists. Is Trump alone to blame or maybe we should consider others whose sole job is the health of the public? And what about the CDC?
