Being drunk is easier than having your eyes wide open and your brain mulling the complexities of the world around us. July the 4th, the day the 13 colonies declared their independence from Britain, is under attack. The New York Times “1619 Project” says the nations birth was really 1619 not 1776. This was when the first slaves arrived. Add to this, Thomas Jefferson (slave owner) wrote the declaration, 13 colonies (all slave states) agreed, and 46 of 56 signers were slave owners. Let’s get drunk!
