Does anyone remember the hanging chad from the 2000 presidential election? Those were not even mail in ballots. We do zillions of trades through online activity. The stock markets, Amazon, and thousands of other transactions are made by Americans and we trust it and love the experience. Online voting would eliminate paper ballots, photo ID, early voting, absentee balloting, and the debate about mail in voting. This would increase Americans participation in our democratic process and give them a better experience. Politicians are out of touch when it comes to election laws. Also, the government could provide dedicated servers for elections and the necessary security.
