We all know England has a “Problem,” and with the proliferation of the spirits of the undead walking the streets there has been a surge in real life ghost stories and psychic crimes to report.
But today, we’re going to tackle one of the most infamous of these haunted places. Combe Carey Hall, legendary home of the Satan worshiping monks who have been credited with driving multiple residents of the hall to insanity, or to their deaths.
And that’s just for starters. From there, Combe Carey Hall has become the home to the dreaded Red Room and the Screaming Staircase, where the Red Baron supposedly lit the skulls of his victims as macabre luminaries to set the scene for his nightly debauchery.
But the Lockwood and Company psychic agency, a small start-up boasting only three young agents, would manage to take down each of these hauntings—and solve a decades old missing persons case while doing it.
Today's episode is based on The Screaming Staircase by Johnathan Stroud, book one of the Lockwood & Co. series.
