I think current events make people feel a lot of uncertainty. It can manifest as anger or despair; I definitely hear of fear which goes further into emotional struggles, where there are tremors in our soul. Even still we say that God is in control, and so we should, because he is in control. He's working things according to his purposes and plan as Scripture says. He's always been doing that and he continues even to the present. Whether or not we believe it matters a lot. In these coming weeks, I want to preach through the book of Daniel. The message of this book realy is that God is in control. He has foreknowledge of all kinds of forces that dominate the Earth and he works things after the counsel of his will. He watches over you also, he watches over each one of us. And so, as we walk through the book of Daniel, it's really a message of encouragement and hope. I'll begin today in Daniel 1.
