In this two-part episode, we are going to have a real conversation about the life of Kobe Bryant, the good and the bad. This will intersect with many issues we deal with in the Black community such as, fatherhood, sexual assault, the fragility of Black life and communal mourning. Trigger Warning, these episode will be heavy. But I want to use this horrible and tragic moment as a catalyst for the difficult conversations we (Black folks) need to have.
Today’s episode features my good friends, Mr. Jerome Scott and Mr. Chris Bell. We’ll discuss Kobe’s impact on Black men, Black men experiencing and expressing grief and sadness, and healing from childhood trauma.
Following them, you will hear from the Pastor of Peace Fellowship church and leader of the Peace Walks, Pastor Delonte Gholsten. He will talk about what it means to be a girl dad and the steps of rehabilitation for former abusers and victimizers. @Dom_Deveraux Twitter & IG
