"For me, it's always about someone's character, not their history. It's never about what your past is, it's about what your future is. Who are we to judge one another. - It's important to give people with criminal history options to do something different than what they've done. "When people don't have options, it erases hope. And it erases hope because now, people have to go back to what they know…which oftentimes is just bad stuff and not worth it."
