Who killed Gayle LeClair?
Gayle LeClair was a vivacious 22 year old who had graduated from Community College and was living in Eugene, working at the Eugene Public Library. On the morning of August 23rd 1973 she did not show up to work. Her supervisor went to her house to check on her and found that she had been murdered. It was the literal definition of overkill; she had been stabbed more than 50 times.
Who killed Gayle? Was it the guy she had gone on a date with the night previously? Was it the lawyer and former assistant District Attorney that she rented the cottage from? Was it someone else in her orbit? Or could it have been … Ted Bundy? Even scarier, could it be a previously unidentified serial killer?
Is there any hope of solving this case that is over 50 years old at this point?
We will get into all of this, and more, on this episode of our podcast.
