We originally flew into Philadelphia, since it is so close to the Jersey Shore. So, in this episode we talk all about our day seeing the main historic highlights of Philadelphia before taking the short drive to the Jersey Shore, and eventually making our way south along the Jersey Shore to the charming Victorian seaside town of Cape May, New Jersey.

Highlights of Philadelphia Include:

• The Liberty Bell
• Congress Hall
• Christ Church Burial Grounds (Resting place of Benjamin Franklin and other signers of the Declaration of Independence
• Reading Terminal Market
• Rocky Statue & Steps

Highlights of the Jersey Shore Include:

• Seaside Heights Boardwalk
• Relaxing on the beach
• Visiting the Jersey Shore House
• Visiting the Shore Store
• Enjoying Craft Beers at Last Wave Brewing Co.
• Trying Rosie's Pizza
• Eating classic Italian at Spanos

Highlights of Cape May Include:

• Exploring the town and its Victorian era buildings and houses
• Cape May Winery
• Higbee Beach
• The Lobster House
• Relaxing on the beach
• Cold Springs Village
• Congress Hall

When in Philadelphia, we recommend staying at the following hotels:

• Residence Inn by Marriott
• Holiday Inn Express Midtown
• Cambria Hotel Philadelphia Downtown City Center

When we were in Cape May, we stayed at The Mason Cottage and loved it! We highly recommend you stay here. However, a couple alternatives we would recommend include:

• Congress Hall
• Grand Hotel Cape May

But to make it easier to find your preferred accommodations if you want alternative hotels than the ones we suggested, you can search for hotels here. We did not include any suggestions for the Jersey Shore, because a lot of places are private residence rentals, or not as nice motels.
