You know how wonderful you feel after having a deep sleep? Meditation can bring you to a deep state of relaxation that makes me feel as if you’ve had a restful sleep. However, you must develop the discipline to prepare for sleep. Here are 3 important steps to do 1. Bathe or shower before preparing for bed 2. Designate the time to get into bed 3. Remove your cell phone from your bed and keep it beyond your reach, so you will not be tempted to surf the net! And set an alarm clock to wake you up. 4. Turn off all the lights, lie on your back, then begin doing deep belly breathing. 5. Now, begin to concentrate on relaxing your body, visualizing light moving from the tie of your toes all the way up to your head. These steps will prepare you to enter deep sleep and be open to your dreams. Our dreams provide an opportunity for our subconscious mind to share information, insight and inspiration with our waking mind, known as the self-conscious mind. This is one of the easiest ways to begin learning to meditate. Mastering deep breathing will make it easy for you to go into a meditative state more easily. If we can learn to ease into sleep, then we can more easily move into the meditative state anytime — day or night. This is a experimental episode to see if you would like me to record some guided meditations to help you fall asleep. Your feedback is appreciated.
