The dark cloud that was over the Browns before the DeShaun Watson trade last year got darker and heavier as he was suspended for the first 11 games in 2022. JacCoby Brissett took care of business like a gentleman, a pro and scholar. On and off the field however that wasn't enough for the Browns. While still competitive in most games the Browns still saw their season slowly dwindle down to a losing record [7-10] and another missed opportunity in the yearly January NFL tournament.
