In the previous episode, the tribe of Benjamin was slaughtered by the other tribes after receiving the concubine body part message. But 600 Benjaminite men survived. The other tribes swore they wouldn't let their daughters marry them, so they had to find them wives in some other way.
The book of Judges ends in this episode with the effort to find wives for the surviving Benjaminite men.
