Happy Juneteenth Day everyone we have a special episode for you today. I have the opportunity to interview two amazing black authors who have created a book called Black Utopia in America. Focusing on the life of a young black woman named Flo Aster Valentine who lives a blissful life in a thriving black community until one day a tragic event places her lifestyle and ideals at risk. Authors Candacie Thomas & Rasheda Smith breakdown the overall message of the story as well as bringing you a deep dive into the subtle complexities of a story focused on racial tensions, black excellence, and the challenges we still face today in creating a thriving Black Utopia. Tune in for my overall favorite episode as we do a spoiler discussion and a deep dive into each character involved in the story, messages conveyed through certain chapters and will there be a Pt 2 for "Black Utopia in America".
