Description

Welcome! We are so glad you are joining us as Laura and Tara continue with the series on “success” and what is considered a “good” life. Today we are excited to share part two of our conversation with Cody Wilson, co-founder of a church in the Detroit area: Living Army. In this episode Cody shares how he used hurt and brokenness to grow closer to the love of God, which revealed a greater capacity to have compassion towards others. This deeper understanding is the foundation of their ministry rather than the old measures of success of numbers and performance. How freeing!

Listener, once again, we invite you to grab your journal to take notes on specific reflections or teachings from Cody. Our conversations turned into a powerful teaching of truth, wisdom all coated in love.

Let’s go!

The Wheel of Fear: Two in a row! I’m getting the hang of this game and Laura report s out how she did pressing into the “fear” of using Facebook Marketplace to sell some of her unwanted goods. Sounds horrifying, doesn’t it?! LOL Laura knows it’s not that big of a deal, but she ain’t ascared to admit that even the little things is a loving invitation from Jesus to see what lies or limitations might be in the way of living abundantly!

What was super cool is she not only earned money selling expensive scrubs that she used as a sales rep, but she also realized how “silly” it was to even hesitate doing something that was no big deal at all. It’s those “silly” things that we think is no big deal if we don’t do them, but realizing if we added up all the silly things would we notice a wall of self-protection?

Glad we are doing life in community to support each other through the big and little things in life. It all matters. XO
