Nepal\'s monarchy was thrown out by Maoists, and Evangelists helped this in the name of human rights. India played a pivotal role to topple the monarchy, and later imposed a blockade on Nepal. China stepped in to fill the vacuum, and then the US started trying to counter the Chinese influence. The US could seek a military base, but China is well entrenched at all levels from grass-roots NGOs to government.
Gurkhas are being wooed by China for their mountain skills. Saudi & Qatar funding of mosques and madrassas in southern Nepal near Indian border is Islamizing the villages. India\'s NRC is putting pressure on undocumented Muslims who could (potentially) hide in Nepal for sanctuary; this would change the demographics.
The Indo-Nepal border is not being managed, and is open for trouble. India is missing in Nepal\'s power structure after having been the dominant power for centuries. This is a BREAKING NEPAL scenario and potential nightmare for India.
