In this part one of three part series by Rajiv Malhotra & Dr. Tony Nader they discuss the nature of self and reality. Dr. Nader received his training at Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Ph.D. in neuroscience) and is a globally recognized expert in the science of consciousness and human development. He\'s a best-selling author (One Unbounded Ocean of Consciousness, Random house 2021) and has discussed his expertise at academic institutions such as Harvard Business School on The Neuroscience of Transcendence, Stanford University, where he gave talks in a series entitled \"Hacking Consciousness.\" as well as the keynote speaker for a conference at the House of Commons, British Parliament where his unique expertise in the knowledge of East and West has also been recognized by the National Health Service. While most other theories accept the naturalism of the physical sciences and at most regard consciousness as an additional property of the fundamental stuff along with matter, Dr. Nader proposes that there is nothing other than consciousness and that matter and the multiplicity of loci of consciousness, us, for one, are nothing but consciousness experiencing itself from limited perspectives that hide the true nature of both the observer and the observed.
