The Sanskrit word ‘prana’ is often translated into English as ‘breath’ or ‘vital air’. Breath signifies the air blowing between the mouth and lungs of a living being during respiration. Prana, however, is not just breath but something more profound and subtle which is responsible for activating the complete psycho-physical apparatus of the body, including the breath. Prana is the basic force of life supplying energy to the mind as well the body. In this video Babaji and Rajiv explore the concept of ‘prana’ and help us understand the shallowness involved in translating ‘prana’ as ‘breath’.
