The party arrives at the ball with some specific instructions from Athelstan. Don't talk about what happened at the tailor. Dancing and drinking, some more than others, commences and after a time Madame Eris informs the entire ball that several people have not yet paid their tithe at the temple. This is a new development that Athelstan and Ki'Lai are unaware and the group is shepparded to the island temple where they discover not only the main deities are worshiped but all, on both sides. Mina is known and has a moment with Breeze and Ki'Lai finally gets the answer she was seeking when a voice reaches out at the stroke of midnight. After a heartfelt interaction with her deity she and Gabriella come to an understanding and Gabriella takes her leave. A final blow is landed to Athelstan before the party makes their escape into the stormy night.
