The Heart or Anahata chakra is the 4th chakra and located it the center of the chest. It's the center for our self love and love for others, as well as empathy and forgiveness. If your heart chakra is out of alignment, you may tend to excessively isolate yourself while also feeling really lonely. You may tend to hold grudges, or constantly feel the need to defend yourself and most likely you'll find it hard to trust anyone around you. When it is in alignment, you'll most likely feel a great sense of love and compassion for both yourself and those around you. You'll trust yourself to make the right decisions and you'll experience more joy in general.
3 Ways To Balance The Heart Chakra:
1. Tap Into Gratitude: Thinking about, or even better, writing down what you are grateful for each day helps to keep your heart chakra open and stimulates a sense of joy and peace within the mind, body and spirit. Creating a daily gratitude practice is a really great way to tap into your heart space.
2. Write Love Letters: Creating time to write letters of love to either yourself or those you love can help to stimulate the heart chakra. Bringing you into a loving and compassionate space while you write and as you reflect on the emotions you shared in the letter is a fun and unique way to open your heart chakra.
3. Heart Opening Asanas + These Affirmations: Practicing heart opening asanas or yoga poses such as Camel Pose or Sphinx Pose is a great way to bring your awareness to your heart center. As you are physically opening your heart space, you can listen to these affirmations on repeat to reprogram your heart chakra back into balance. Find the youtube link below!
