When is the last time you brought your awareness to how you speak to yourself? Most of the time we speak to ourselves in ways we would never even think about speaking to someone else. As they say, we can be our own worst critic. I'm here to encourage you to be kind to yourself. You deserve to be spoken to with respect. The way you speak to yourself effect so many things! Your energy, your mood, the way you interact with people, your tolerance for how others treat you... and much much more. Creating a positive inner dialogue can help you to feel motivated and optimistic about yourself and life in general. Trust me, from someone who used to be So Hard on myself in so many different ways... You deserve better.

3 Ways To Improve Your Self Talk:

1. Observe Your Inner And Outer Language: Sure, these days being called bitch is a term of endearment, but think about the times you've been called bitch in a harmful situation. Even though the energy behind it now isn't meant to be harmful, it can still trigger those subdued and subconscious associations and inner thoughts about yourself. Bringing that to your awareness and maybe next time someone calls you bitch, you can kindly correct them and say you prefer to be called a goddess instead from now on.

2. Best Friend Yourself: Imagine you are your own best friend. Would you really be telling your best friend that your body looks disgusting, or that you shouldn't post that because you'll look stupid and people will laugh at you? Probably not... Those are just a few of the things that I've told myself once upon a time. Positive self talk can be a really tough habit to create, but as with anything, practice makes perfect. Next time you catch yourself talking down on yourself or making yourself feel bad, try to look at yourself like you are your best friend and encourage yourself to be you.
