It's crucial to cultivate internal motivation rather than relying solely on external sources because internal motivation is more sustainable and fulfilling. When we are intrinsically motivated, we are driven by our own desires and interests, leading to a sense of purpose and personal satisfaction. When you place the value of your success in the hands of others, you lose the ability to honor your true self and if at any point they have a contradicting mindset, it will feel uber discouraging.

We've been wired as a society to look to social media, hollywood and just others in general for validation and when it's not found outwardly, where is it meant to be found? I know for sure I don't fit everyone's mold of perfection... far from it. But I know that within myself, I am exactly who I need to be, doing exactly what I need to be doing, exactly when it needs to be done. I trust my intuition above all else because and that's what motivates me to keep going. Any time those doubts slip in, I am constantly given clear signs that I am in alignment with my purpose and that's what keeps me motivated. You have the power to do the same. Embrace all that you are and make your dreams come true, even if they're not conventional or if the ones around you can't see the vision... just keep going so you can show them.

3 Tools To Inspire Motivation:

1. Set Meaningful Goals: Focusing on progress rather than perfection, and practicing self-care. By setting goals that align with your values and interests, you are more likely to feel motivated to achieve them. Be sure that your goals are yours, and not just yours because someone else handed them to you. You may end up excelling at them, but succeeding wont give you the feeling of fulfillment or motivation that you get when it comes directly from the heart.

2. Focus On Progress: Acknowledging small wins can also boost motivation, as it provides a sense of accomplishment and momentum. Our brains are wired to thrive on the reward system. Try setting small daily, weekly, monthly or annual goals and pre-choose a reward for yourself when you reach your goal. If the reward is exciting enough, you may just end up reaching your goal in half the time.

3. Take Care Of Yourself: Physical and emotional health through self-care practices such as movement, meditation, or engaging in hobbies can increase feelings of energy and positivity, which can fuel internal motivation. We are humans. Feeling good is what we're here to do. Not work work work work work.... be sure to take time for rest, recovery and recreation. This will rejuvenate your lifeforce and give you the energy it takes to keep going. Sometimes you may need a little pep talk, use these affirmations or listen to them on repeat (link below) to inspire you every day.
