Scale of 1-10, where would you rate your current level of self confidence? Are you happy with that level, or does it need a bit of a boost? There's a lot of factors that can lead to low self confidence, so just know that you're not alone. There are also a lot of ways to build yourself back up. In case no one has told you yet today, you deserve to feel good about who you are and what you're capable of. It's important that you accept and trust yourself and have a sense of control over your life.

Being able to have confidence within yourself rather than using external people/things/situations as a source of validation, can help you to quiet down your inner critic and fully believe in yourself.

3 Ways To Build Your Self Confidence:

  1. Challenge Your Negative Thoughts: I invite you to catch those negative thoughts about yourself and ask yourself who's voice is really talking? Is it someone from your family? Maybe a childhood bully (or even an adult bully)?
  2. Celebrate Yourself: Guaranteed you have done something in your life that deserves to be celebrated. Do this on a regular basis! Maybe you set a small goal like brush your teeth and do 10 minutes of movement every morning, or meditate for 5 minutes every night. Whatever it is, make sure it's simple for you to do and then think of what you'd like to reward yourself with. I enjoy using a tiered reward system. An example might look like: if you had 2-4 days of achievements that week, then you reward yourself with a nice potted plant. Maybe for 5-7 days of achievements you get yourself a take yourself on a movie date.
  3. Re-Wire Your Brain: Some of us have so many external expectations via media, our family, our friends, our professional superiors... etc... that we convince ourselves that we're not good enough to live out our actual dream life. By doing that we lose confidence in ourselves. We end up subconsciously (or sometimes consciously) thinking that if we don't please them, then we're worthless or undeserving of anything good. In reality most of the things that were on my to-do list had nothing to do with what I Actually wanted to do with my life... that's why they didn't get done. Not because I'm not capable, but because that wasn't something I was passionate about. Chances are that has happened to you too. Using these affirmations daily can help you to retrain your brain from seeing your "failures" to noticing all of your wonderful accomplishments and beautiful individuality.
