Pain can be physical, mental or emotional. Releasing each type of pain will look differently and be a different journey for everyone. Keeping a healthy mindset about pain and believing that the pain is temporary can help you to move through it more peacefully. We all have our own unique healing journey, so be patient with yourself and give yourself the time and space you need to heal fully. Try not to put pressure on yourself to heal faster than you are meant to, because that could lead to more pain or a different form of pain. Our mind is such a powerful tool, for example look at all the placebo studies out there. When someone believed that they could be healed, they were, even though it was a sugar pill, or a fake surgery even. Building and maintaining a healthy, positive mindset is key to healing anything.

3 Ways To Release Pain:

  1. Calm Your Nervous System: Your nervous system is what signals to the brain that there is an issue somewhere, so that it can release the proper hormones and chemicals within the body to help assist in surviving the situation. Using somatic exercises or mindful breathing techniques can help to calm your nervous system and allow your body/mind/spirit relax and ease the pain, especially if you've been stuck in survival mode for an extended period of time.
  2. Re-Write Negative Thought Patterns: Using affirmations on repeat, like the ones in this episode (Link Below), can help your brain to think less painful thoughts. Our minds are very powerful. When they focus too much on painful thoughts, they can actually self actualize into physical ailments, even to the extent of paralyzing the body. That being said, by infusing more powerful and peaceful thought loops on a regular basis, you can re-train your brain to think more positively and create less pain and more healing within your body and lifestyle.
  3. Seek Proper Help: Sometimes when one thing isn't working, we go back to the same person, professional, or practice to get a different prescription, or a different diagnosis only to find out that that wasn't the proper solution either. I invite you to keep exploring. There are countless healing modalities out there like Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine, Yoga, Functional Medicine or even changing your mindset by listening to people Dr. Joe Dispenza. Don't give up just because one avenue led to the wrong destination.
